Description
Morphology
Through a pit of about 20 metres of drop one reaches a chamber from which one descends through small steps and narrow passages, with small gours through which a little water flows, which is lost a little further on among a zone of blocks that is the point of maximum depth.
From the base of the entrance pit, and after a scramble, one reaches a couple of upper small rooms that remain totally closed.

History
Discovered and explored by members of the Espeleo Club Tortosa in May 1995.
One will be able to observe that of the pits labelled with CP (Cova Pintada) we pass from CP.10 (last catalogued) to CP.20. Of the series that goes from CP.11 to CP.19, some are cavities that in their day were marked by the Espeleo Club Tortosa and of which, for the moment, there is no information. Others are cavities known for many years and which the Tortosa colleagues decided to give the CP initials. For example: CP.12 (Avenc de la Caseta Forestal); CP.16 (Avenc de la Pista del Caro); CP.17 (Avenc petit del Caro) and CP.18 (Avenc del Caro).
