Characteristics

Location

You have to go to the Camí Ral, either from the Alzina del Sal·lari or climbing up from Rellinars via les Boades. Once on this path and located at the coll del Correu, you must go down another path towards the torrent de la Cansalada. Almost at the bottom, the path forks and you must go to the left, downstream of the torrent. A few metres from the turn-off, on the right and below the path, is this pit.

Description

Morphology

Through a small entrance you enter a little 2-metre shaft and at its bottom, a narrow sloping gallery leads to a small crawl (“Riñones al Jérez”) that opens into a jointed 13-metre-deep shaft (Pou Lluc) which widens as you descend. Its bottom is covered by a cone of debris and earth. At one of its ends, climbing a small step, you reach a short gallery (Galeria Aixa).

Speleothems

The Galeria Aixa is beautifully decorated with flowstone and other lithogenic formations.

History

Discovered during a family outing, some of them members of SIS – CE Terrassa, by the boy Lluc Casas (9 years old) and the girl Aixa Martínez (8 years old). After two more trips, it was fully explored and surveyed on 21 September 2013.
