Caratteristiche

Località

From Mont-ral we will follow the TV-7045 road towards the Mussara; on reaching kilometre 3, we will turn right towards the ruined mas del Cisterer. From here a path sets off first in a W direction, which soon continues towards the NW, then turns towards the SW and immediately afterwards towards the S. When the path turns again towards the W, we find a turn-off to the right that leads to the collet del Jaume. We will continue climbing up to the Portell de la Cova de la Bruixa; from here we will follow the path that skirts the cliff below the Punta de Moliner as far as the portell d'Abellera. We will go down the grade and at the base we will leave the path that leads to la Foradada, to continue in the opposite direction to the one we came from but now along the base of the cliff, along a faint trail that will bring us to the surgència Poblet; continuing about 10 metres further on we will reach the cova del Be, which is a good shelter.

Descrizione

Morfologia

The first 20 metres of the cave are a small conduit with a meandering development that ends in a chamber 20 metres long by an average width of 3 metres. The inner part of this chamber is higher than the rest and is occupied by accumulations of blocks along its entire length. At the final part of the chamber a narrow route begins through the zona humida.

Concrezioni

The first part of the chamber is completely covered in gours.

Storia

The first exploration was carried out in 1964 by M. Parrilla, F. Talavera, J. Cabeza, M. Ibern and P. García of the SIEP of the Centre Excursionista Poblet. At first it was called Resurgéncia S.I.E.P., and later referred to as Resurgéncia Poblet; it was also erroneously known as cova del Be, in reality the cova del Be is located just after the surgència Poblet about 10 metres further on.

Toponymy: The first explorers of the cavity named it Ressurgència, a completely erroneous name since the hydrological functioning of the cavity is that of a spring, and not a resurgence.
