Surgència Garrot 1

It is located above the font de Garrot, in the wooded area near the Pont del Diable, close to the Barri de Sant Ramon, in the municipality of Tarragona.

From Tarragona, at the roundabout at the entrance to the barri de Sant Salvador, we take the first exit on the right heading East, going down along the avinguda Sant Salvador to the barri de Sant Ramon; we reach the end, where it joins the carrer del Barranc del Comellar, and here we park.

We cross the street heading East, looking for a bridge by which we cross into the wooded area. We follow the track and a sewer painted yellow; at the fork, the track goes up along the firebreak, we leave the firebreak and take the track on the left until some meadows, where along a path we skirt the fields through a wooded area, leaving the Mas de Garrot on our left, on the other side of the meadows, until we reach the Font del Garrot.

A path heading South goes up to a track where there is a sign indicating the spring; about ten metres before reaching the sign we leave the path on the left, in a rocky area skirting along until we find some blocks by which we descend to the cliff, and following it we find the mouth of the cave.
