It is a small rock shelter 16 metres wide by just over 2 metres deep.
Storia
La Fossa is the name by which the place where the rock shelters are located was known, where the sometent found the bandit Jaume Masferrer, en Toca-son or Toca-Sons, hiding after he had been wounded at the coll de Taradell, above the Creu de Pedra, by en Montserrat Camprodon of Taradell (in those times Montserrat was a man's name; women were called Monserrada).
The first mention of this spot is from 1638, due to a boundary dispute between the rectors of Taradell and Vilalleons, where some “roches de la Fossa d'en Toca-Son” are cited. En Toca-son died in Vic on 30 September 1631, eight days after his capture.
