Località

We cross the village of Urús heading towards the cemetery, from where a forest track sets off to the left, where a sign announces that it is closed after 2.1 km, reaching the Coll de Jovell.

From here the track continues with a chain, in the direction of Coma Oriola (Masella).

After 1.2 km, we see a spectacular crag.

We climb to its base along a marked torrent (15'). Following the S walls, and after passing some inaccessible chimneys, we find the immense entrance of the cavity.

Descrizione

Morfologia

The cavity presents a large entrance 22 m wide by a height of 5 m. It maintains these dimensions in the large chamber that opens immediately afterwards along a depth of 15 m where the floor shows an important clastic process with the presence of large blocks along an ascending ramp. At the back of the chamber and in the central sector, there is a gallery of much smaller dimensions, about 10 m long and maintaining the general inclination of the whole cavity.

Unpublished speleologically.

The climber Jordi Álvarez informed members of the Espeleodijous of the existence of a large rock shelter near Urús. In early November 2023 they visited it and carried out the cataloguing work.
