Località

From the springs of the Bastareny, we will follow the track that runs below the farmhouses of the Monnell to the end. At this point, we will find the waters coming from the torrent de la Muga, which we will cross to access the path on the other side. We will take this path to the left, and it will make us gain height quickly, ascending the mountainside amid a dense forest and in the direction of the upper cliff, heading for an area on the right with a steep gradient and no trees. The cavity opens in this area at the foot of the cliff, its entrance being easily guessed.

Descrizione

Morfologia

An entrance of 0.80X0.70 metres introduces us immediately into the base of an ascending shaft with abundant traces of erosion. A few metres further on and after a low passage, we reach another small chamber with another ascending shaft, and in the final part we find a small chamber filled with small blocks cemented to one another. Both ascending shafts communicate with each other in their upper part, first through an impassable window, and above this, through a somewhat exposed passage of larger dimensions.

Concrezioni

Worth noting is the large quantity of flowstone in a good part of the cavity, although they are covered with mud (mondmilch), which hinders access to the upper part of the ascending shafts.
