Località

We will set out along the BV-1245 road that goes from Castellterçol towards Granera; after km 2 we will turn off to the left onto a forest track that will take us towards the Salvatges farmhouse. We will always follow the main track, leaving various turnings, until we reach a point where the track passes beside a large water tank. Here we will leave the car, to continue on foot along the path we were on and after about 800 m we will find a small path on the left that climbs up to the font de les Febres.

Descrizione

Morfologia

It is a small spring excavated in conglomerates. The joint-shaped mouth has dimensions of 1.60 m high by 40 cm wide. The gallery has a length of 5 m and a width of 40 cm until it becomes impassable due to its narrowness.

Idrologia

A small watercourse flows along the floor, which gives rise to the font. The water is collected in a tank with a small tap.

Storia

Known since remote times by the people of the area.

The water of this font was reputed to be very good for curing fevers, and also for the kidneys. Depending on the time of year, its waters were believed to have different properties.
