Località

We will leave the village of Esparreguera along the B-231 road; after Km 3 we will take a turnoff to the left, a narrow ascending paved track, until we reach the first widening. Here we will leave the car to take a dirt track that will take us down to the bed of the riera de Masquefa; we will follow it downstream about 1500 m until we reach a very tight meander where we will find the balma de Sant Ermengol, very visible on the left bank of the riera.

Morfologia

Spacious rock shelter opened in conglomerates, it has maximum dimensions of 33 m in length by 14 m in depth and a height of 7 m. On the walls the strata and erosion forms are clearly visible.

Storia

Known since ancient times. Referenced on the ICGC map. In June 2019 it is visited by members of the GE Badalona who carry out the cataloguing work.
