Località

Located in Serinyà, we head to the end of carrer del Torrent, just behind some agricultural warehouses. From here we go along the side of the plot of land to a small grove on the other side of this plot and next to the cingle de la Margenera, where the upper entrance in the form of a pit of the Cova dels Encantats is found. To reach the cova petita dels Encantats, we follow along the side of the cliff in an E direction, where we soon find a narrow path with a steep slope that takes us down to a kind of ledge. The cave hangs on the cliff four metres higher up.

Morfologia

Small cavity with an entrance open to the N; the 1.75X1.20 metre mouth gives access to a room 5.30 metres long by 2 metres wide and 2 metres high.

Progressione

The easiest way to reach it is to position yourself on the upper platform, where the mouth of the pit of the Cova dels Encantats is; from there we head 8 metres to the E, where there is a group of trees next to the cliff. A rope must be rigged on this group of trees and we descend about 9 metres to the platform where the cave opens.

Storia

Discovered by Frederic Corominas, who visited it with his brother Josep Mª in 1931. Dr. Josep Mª Corominas began the excavation on 29 January 1944.
