It is located on the left bank of the riu de Taús, about 80 metres downstream of its confluence with the riu dels Castells and about 10 metres above the torrent bed.

Descrizione

Morfologia

It is a horizontal cavity of short length where at 11 metres it opens into a chamber about 10 metres in diameter.

Progressione

From the south-east of the chamber an ascending gallery emerges which after a few metres becomes a crawlway amid formation where it reaches +7 metres and which ends in a window that gives access to a shaft about 4 metres deep.

Storia

The first exploration of this cavity of which we have news was carried out by Dr. Francesc Español in the late afternoon of 1 October 1950, within the framework of a campaign sponsored by the “Instituto Español de Entomología”. Together with Dr. Español, E. Schütte and I. Fernández Impellitieri took part.
