Località

Driving along the C-55 road from Olesa de Montserrat to Monistrol, at kilometre 7.100 you must take a turnoff to the right that passes by the old spa of La Puda and follow the track —crossroads with signs— until reaching Can Tobella (Can Tovella, on the ICC map). Past the last house (Can Benet), 80 metres along and to the left of the track, a well-marked path begins. Follow it for about 500 metres until you come to a cliff in the middle of the torrent. Caves no. 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 are located on a terrace halfway up and very close to each other.

No. 3 has a small entrance and is situated at ground level.

Descrizione

Morfologia

Consists of a short, slightly sinuous gallery that is relatively high in the first section but drops abruptly after a few metres.

Concrezioni

Lithogenic formations are abundant, completely fossilized.

Idrologia

Fossilized spring excavated in Holocene travertines, dated at 11000 years.

Storia

Cavities known since time immemorial by the local people. It is not, however, until the beginning of 1972 that members of the Barcelona groups SE Gelera and GE Pedraforca carry out a campaign of cataloguing and study of the group of cavities in the area.
