Località

From the village of l'Argentera we will take the track that climbs along the barranc de l'Argentera up to Los Estrets; from here we will take a path on the left heading upstream in a S direction and climb up to a small hill called Muntxelló, where on the first rocky foothills we will find the cova del Reietó at the foot of a cliff.

Descrizione

Morfologia

The cave is 11 metres wide by 4 metres deep with a maximum height of 8 metres. In the eastern sector a gallery opens that is 6 metres long by 1 metre high and 60 cm wide; this gallery narrows until it becomes impassable. This lateral gallery presents the morphology of an ancient phreatic circulation.

These are the remains of an ancient karst conduit that has been dismantled by the retreat of the cliff and by epigean erosion.

Storia

Known since ancient times. Geolocated on the ICGC maps and with no earlier record in speleological catalogues. Visited by members of the GE Badalona on 11-11-2017 while carrying out the cataloguing work.
