Caratteristiche

Località

In the lower part of the Farrubio rock outcrop, at the edge of an olive grove.

From Tortosa one must go to the small village of Els Reguers (road T-432, to Alfara de Carles). From here one must find the track that goes up the Pandorga ravine (Camí dels Reguers Nous). Follow the Bandejats track and shortly after a group of blocks on the right of the path, one must turn left and continue to the end. Here one must take a path that climbs gently in a SW direction until reaching practically the end of the olive groves, where the cavity is found.

Descrizione

Morfologia

It is a small underground chamber about 6-7 m in diameter which can be accessed from an opening in the ceiling and one can descend, without any equipment, along one side of the wall.

Concrezioni

Inside there is a great profusion of speleothems, both wall flowstone and small stalactites.

Idrologia

There is also a small artificial gour to collect water.

Progressione

It can be accessed from an opening in the ceiling and one can descend, without any equipment, along one side of the wall.

Altri dettagli

The entrance is protected by an iron sheet, like a door, to prevent livestock from falling in.

Storia

Probably known for a long time, it even appears georeferenced on the ICGC map. Despite this, it was completely unpublished in speleological catalogues. Located by Joan Ramírez (CE Dinàmics, la Ràpita) in February 2020 and visited later in June 2020.

Because of the iron door that protects it and the artificial gour inside it, it seems evident that the owner of the estate has made a kind of cistern to collect water.
