Località

On the BV-5202 road from Sant Julià de Vilatorta to Vilalleons, upon reaching kilometre 3.35 we will follow a track to the left, which in about 500 metres will bring us to the Gili farmhouse. Just past the farmhouse, the track makes a sharp bend to the right to head towards the old hay barn, currently restored as a dwelling. Right at the bend, a path sets off passing behind this building and heads towards the NE; after covering about 140 metres, on the left of the path we find a fairly large pine tree with a cairn at its foot; from here we will continue in a SE direction, where after about 40 metres we will find the cave entrance.

Morfologia

A very narrow entrance gives access to a single flat, straight gallery, excavated along a N-S-trending joint. Formerly the entrance offered a small step at the entry, which has practically disappeared due to sediments from outside that have gradually accumulated, causing the entrance to be even narrower.

Storia

We do not know when the first exploration was carried out, but from the known data, it seems that it was discovered by Eduard Clos, from Vic, in the mid-sixties of the last century.

In 1970 members of the SIE del CE Àliga carried out the exploration and survey of this cavity, as well as of others in the area.
