Località

Above km 5 of the BV-4243 road that climbs to Rasos de Peguera, an asphalt track starts towards Castellar del Riu; without leaving it we will pass the turn-off towards Castellar del Riu and continue along the dirt track to the Casa d'en Blanc.

From the surroundings of the house and in the direction of Rocaterçana, there are some little-marked paths that will help to climb the slope up to the point where we will have to go through the forest looking for the path until reaching the base of the cliffs.

The cavity is located between the summit of Rocaterçana and the Coll del Bassot, above a first level of the cliff.

Descrizione

Morfologia

The cavity hangs 2.5 m above the base of the cliff, but the drop can easily be overcome by climbing among the blocks to reach the base of the cave.

The entrance, 3.5 x 5 m high, gives access to the main chamber, above which there is a tall chimney where, at its highest point and among blocks, the light coming from the connection with the cliff wall can be seen.

In the final part of the chamber and close to the ceiling there is a narrow fissure that continues for a few more metres, ending at this point the maximum depth of the cavity.

Storia

The known reference of which we have record is the exploration carried out in June 2016 by members of the Centre Excursionista de Castellar del Vallès, who also surveyed the cavity.
