Descrizione
Morfologia
The cova de l'Angerra is an old karst conduit. The rock-shelter access shows the remains of a dry-stone wall that was possibly used as a sheepfold for livestock. Next, a new wall forms the entrance to the cave that served as a dwelling. Here begins the gallery, which has dimensions of 6 metres high by 4.50 metres wide. Next we find a first stretch of gallery 13 metres long, with 3 metres of width and 2.90 metres of height, which leads us to a small ramp, of +1 metre, where the ceiling lowers. The gallery continues with dimensions of 1.80 metres high and 2 metres wide. At the end of this gallery the ceiling lowers to about 60 cm, past this point we find a small chamber 3.50 metres wide by 1 metre high where the cave ends with a total length of 30 metres.
Concrezioni
Here we see a stalagmite 1 metre in diameter with a central concavity that collects the water from a small drip coming from the ceiling, it is the place in the cave where the lithogenic process is developed.
Idrologia
The capture and storage of water inside seem to indicate the use of the cave as a room. A stalagmite 1 metre in diameter with a central concavity collects the water from a small drip coming from the ceiling.
Progressione
The path climbs through the forest until it crosses a quarry but soon leads us to the first rocky walls where we will find a large, clearly visible rock shelter, beneath the wall the mouth of the cave opens behind a dry-stone wall.
Altri dettagli
The abundant soot on the walls and ceiling seems to indicate the use of the cave as a room.
