Morfologia
Cave-shelter formed by a single slightly ascending gallery, about 20 metres in length, counting from the visor, and 7 to 9 metres in average width with a height of 8 metres.
The entire floor is formed by large limestone blocks embedded among clayey soils.
Concrezioni
Beside the walls, the calcareous and stalagmitic concretions suggest beneath a subsoil rich in Palaeozoic materials.
Storia
Known since time immemorial. Cited in old catalogues (Puig y Larraz, 1896; Font, 1897; Faura, 1909).
The first archaeological excavations were carried out in 1922 by Lluís Pericot and Matias Pallarès.
