Descrizione
Morfologia
Cavity formed at the expense of some large granite blocks. It has three entrances; the most obvious from a distance is no. 3 (on the survey). Entrance no. 1 is a small opening between blocks 0.6 metres wide by 0.4 metres high. Entrance no. 3, a large entrance, is divided in two by a large block that supports another gigantic block that acts as a "tile". The entrance of the left mouth has a height of 2.7 metres and a width of 1 metre; that of the right one is 2.6 metres high and 1 metre wide. The floor is quite steep and of sauló. The lower entrance (no. 3) resembles a large megalithic dolmen.
Progressione
Due to the drop and the fact that we approach from the cova dels Tres Cercles, we will enter through entrance no. 1. We descend into a small chamber where on our right a dangerous 4-metre drop leads to the lower entrance. At the end of this small chamber we find two openings, of which only the right one is feasible; here we will descend between blocks a couple of metres. Now an ascending gallery leads us to an excellent viewpoint which is entrance no. 2. If we do not take this gallery and go downwards, an R.1.8 leads us to the exit ramp or entrance no. 3.
Altri dettagli
In the Inventari del Patrimoni we find a chronology, based on ceramic remains found at the entrance, of -1800/-650.- Bronze -650/-50.- Iron-Iberian.
Storia
From reading some local monographs, members of the GE Badalona locate it in the Montcabrer area and visit and survey it in November 2013.
