Caratteristiche

Località

Starting from Sant Llorenç de Morunys, along the local road L-4241, once past km 39, turn left and enter the valley of the riu de Valls. We will pass through the parish of Guixers, and continue along the paved road past all the grassy meadows. From here we will begin to climb alongside the torrent de la Corriu, heading north-west. Further up we will leave the path that climbs to la Corriu and continue to the right, uphill, until we find, on the right, a forest track with an information sign for the Torre de la Corriu.

We will leave the car in a space on the left of the road, and continue on foot along the path, gently undulating. Further on the path descends a little to cross a torrent and then climbs up to the Torre de la Corriu.

We will continue along the path, in the same direction, now slightly uphill to the ridge; once at the top we will descend without leaving the ridge along a narrow path to the point, where we will find an information panel. This point has a great panoramic view of the valley of the riu de Valls, with its mill right below.

Heading north, we will descend along a well-trodden narrow path with a steep gradient, following a long diagonal.

Before us are the cingles or Llitzes de cal Pelegrí, where we will find the different rock shelters distributed across different strata or stratigraphic levels.

Further down we will cross a gully and pass right below the balma Roja de Vilacireres; this is located above the little path that goes from the molí de la Corriu to the Pont Quebradís, beneath some small cliffs. On the right-hand slope of the torrent de Vilacireres, about 10 on foot from the torrent along the signposted path that climbs from the torrent de Vilacireres and goes to the Torre de la Corriu.
