Descrizione
Morfologia
It is a complex of shelters overhanging the cliff, with two large shelters standing out. The northernmost one has a small flat shelter below and several on its side at different levels but difficult to access. The first shelter, to the south, which is reached easily, is the most curious, because it has ideal dimensions for living in. It has a fairly flat base of 12 x 9 m, full of scree, and an oval ceiling with a variable height between 2 m and 3 m. The second large shelter is divided into two parts by a natural wall. The first hall has a base of 6x6 m with a variable height of 2 to 3 metres. The second hall has a base of 10x6 with a variable height of 2 to 4 metres.
Concrezioni
The main characteristic that stands out in the first shelter is the ceiling completely black with soot and, with the dampness of the water, it creates a shiny paste like metal, like "olivine". In the second large shelter, we will highlight the shapes of the walls eroded in a spherical form like a cheese.
Idrologia
The torrent de Vilacireres usually carries little water and is crossed by fording without difficulty. Further on, a small torrent is crossed and one finishes arriving at the torrent de cal Pelegrí.
Progressione
From the Balma Roja de Vilacireres, we will continue descending along a steep diagonal slope, we will cross the torrent de Vilacireres with an information panel, usually with little water, by fording without difficulty and full of abundant vegetation. We will continue along the path, climbing up the other side of the torrent, full of abundant holm oak groves. Further on we will cross a small torrent and finish arriving at the torrent de cal Pelegrí. A few metres before crossing it, we will find the first shelters that are more accessible and less difficult to reach, such as the balma del Boc, divided into two large vaults and linked through a small opening, and the balma de les Cabretes, located below the previous one. The second large shelter is reached through a small window that connects the two, or by climbing up on the outside.
