Località

From km 21.6 of the C-62 road (between Prats de Lluçanès and Gironella) an asphalted track heads N, running parallel to the riera de Merlès. After 3.6 km we take a turnoff to the right (signposted La Solana/Cal Tomàs/Vall de les Botes). Once we have covered 1.3 km we pass in front of a farm, and 100 metres after the last building we find a path (the way barred by a concrete bollard). We follow this path, which heads SE, and after about 250 metres we find rock shelter no. 1.

Descrizione

Morfologia

It is a rock shelter about 40 metres wide and with a maximum height of 6.6 metres. The N third is raised 4 metres above ground level and has a height of 1 metre, which decreases towards the interior. The central sector is occupied by a dwelling made up of a ground floor and a first floor, with a 13.5-metre façade, recently rebuilt. The building continues towards the S, but only its shape can be made out, as it is completely ruined.
