Avencs Arrel-estret

Located at the end of Carrer de Josep M. Tosas in Montblanc, follow the camí de la Pasquala; at the end there is a water tank that is skirted on the left. A little further on, after passing some tanks located on the left of the path, it makes a bend and heads towards the S; continue uphill to a crossroads, where you leave the track that goes off to the left and continue straight on entering an open area of the forest where there is a square-shaped water tank. From the West side of the esplanade follow the track on the right, closed by a padlock; after about 800 metres, at the point where the track makes a bend to the right, on the left-hand side of the track there is a dry stone wall. A few metres before the wall and on the same side of the track there is a path that descends in the direction of the font de la Ginesta. Immediately there is a fissure that crosses the path and that must be jumped; a few metres further on you pass by the side of the avenc de la Figuera. The path descends a little and turns to the left; at this point there is the cova del Siroll on the left of the path. About two metres further on and on the same left-hand side of the path a small trail branches off that in a few metres leads to the mouth of the avenc de l'Arrel. Skirting the whole shaft, on the other side and about 10 metres away, there are some rocks on the right, at a slightly higher level, where the mouth of the avenc Estret is located.
