Località

In the highest part of the village of la Riba and along the TV-7044 road towards Farena, take the path on the right that leads towards the Puig de Marc, leaving the characteristic hill of the Castell del Dalmau on our right. On reaching the first flat area formed by the Puig de Marc, move westwards to look for a cliff (Pena del Puig) that rises above the valley of the river Brugent. In the lower part of the gully where the avenc GERS and the Esquerda de Puig de Marc are found. Approximate coordinates and difficult to locate.

Descrizione

Morfologia

A 17 m deep fissure. It begins with an 8 metre vertical drop and at its bottom, a debris cone from which two descending ramps start. The easternmost is the shorter and ends at just over 10 metres depth. Towards the west it is somewhat longer and ends in a fissure filled with blocks, where the point of maximum penetration is reached. Typical collapse fissure with a very pronounced clastic process.

Discovered and explored by members of GERS – AE Muntanya (Barcelona) around the year 1975.
