Località

The pit is located in the Montsant, in Ulldemolins. From Ulldemolins one must take the camí de Fragerau to the junction with the camí dels Ventadors. One must follow the latter until finding on the left a small torrent that is always dry and that we must follow until finding a characteristic mark on a tree (data from 1998). At this point one must turn sharp left up a steep climb, heading towards some pines that rise at the top of a small hill. Near this and behind it is the mouth of the cavity.

Approximate and low-precision coordinates. It should not be far from the Avenc del Vent (see record).

Descrizione

Morfologia

The mouth of the pit is the product of a severe digging-out of a small hole through which a strong air current was felt.

Progressione

Once past the mouth, a very narrow shaft begins (P-16) and is difficult to follow until a ledge where the next shaft opens (P-17). From here follows a series of small shafts and drops with small chambers full of debris and sediments that choke off any possible continuation.

Storia

During the exploration of the Avenc dels Arboços by members of the AAEET de Valls, they observed a crack in the distance and during the approach they located a small forat bufador that, after a hard digging-out, allowed them to discover and explore this new cavity in March 1998.
