Caratteristiche

Località

To get there, the best approach is to follow the Can Roure path, which begins before km 5 of the road from Terrassa to Talamanca. Take the path that climbs up to the coll de Can Roure. From this pass, take the path on the left that leads to the turó de Roques Blanques. When it begins to level out, the cavity is located a few metres away, on the right of the path. The entrance is very close to the upper esplanade of the old quarry, where there are tables and benches and which is an exceptional viewpoint over the Vallès plain.

Storia

On the night of 31 October 2010, Marta Riu and her son Julià Vivó were walking with their dog Coco in the surroundings of Can Roure and, heading towards the turó de Roques Blanques, the dog wandered off and fell into a crevice on the right of the path. While searching for him, they found him at the bottom of a hole, unknown to them. Julià needed a rope to get him out, safe and sound. Marta reported it to Jordi Badiella and on Saturday 3 November all four went to see what hole it was. There had long been rumours that in the upper area of the turó de Roques Blanques there were some crevices, all of them produced by the effects of the old Can Candi quarry.
