Località

Once past the coll de l'Ordal on the N-340 road towards Vilafranca del Penedès, a long stretch of the road begins; about 650 metres after passing km. 1228 there is the entrance of a track on the right, shortly before a bridge and under a high-tension line. On the other side of the road there is a small ravine that drains under the road into the torrent de la Creu d'Ordal and a little further on another torrent, parallel to the previous one. The pit is on the left slope of this one, along a path cleared not many years ago and some cairn leads us to the pit.

Elongated entrance. A ramp leads to a shaft, wider, of 4 metres and well concretioned. Floor of earth and rubble.

As a curiosity, a root descends down the shaft and at the bottom sinks again in search of moisture.

Storia

Discovered and explored by a group of amateurs from the village of Ordal in 1977, the cavity remaining in anonymity until members of the SIE-CEA contacted one of the members of the group, en Joan Esteve, who accompanied them on 2 March 2009, proceeding to its exploration. Members of the ERE-CEC relocate it in August 2018 and make the survey.
