Località

Located at the water deposits of the Begues Park development, we will follow the stream that descends on the right (according to the direction of travel) until reaching its head, where we will find a large scree slope produced by the materials extracted from the mine; at the top of these we will find the mine entrance, and the cavity is located inside the gallery 62 metres from the entrance.

It can also be accessed from the Pla de Basses Roges electrical substation by following the track that climbs to the Montau; upon reaching the esquena d'Ase, one must take the track that descends to the left in the direction of an electrical tower; before reaching it we will find a small path on the left that will lead us to the mine entrance.

Morfologia

The mine gallery has dimensions that range between 1.3 and 2 metres, both in width and in height.

Progressione

Access is from the mine entrance. After a route of 62 metres we reach the base of a series of superimposed pits that reach +30 metres; +34 from the mine entrance. It should be kept in mind that at +15 metres we find a very narrow passage not suitable for everyone.

Storia

Evidently, the mine was known since ancient times due to its exploitation as such. The first exploration carried out of which we have record is by the SIE of the CE Àliga in 1983.
