Leaving the roundabout of the Rat Penat development we take the middle street, one of those heading N – NE to its end and then descend to the bed of the fondo de Vallbona.

We follow the fondo upstream for approximately 1.2 km. The fondo penetrates between two spurs, becoming quite narrow from then on.

From this point, the bed takes a general NNW orientation; we follow it for about 200 metres more and reach a point where it makes a sudden turn and takes an W orientation. At the same turning point we climb the ridge that descends from the puig del Martell and about 15 metres of elevation above the bed, almost on the same ridge, we find the entrance.
