Località

Located at the pool of the Campgràs doline, following the road that climbs towards Puig Ginebró, when the steep climb ends and a little before reaching the junction, the cavity is on the left of the road, a couple of metres from it.

Descrizione

Morfologia

The cavity presents a shaft of 3.80 metres of drop and 1.50 metres of width. At the base, on a gentle slope, a narrow passage of 4.75 metres of depth opens up, which places it at the deepest point of the cavity.

Storia

Around 1960, members of the SES - CE Puigmal (Barcelona) explored on the Serrat de la Morella a small pit of a little more than 3 metres. The entrance is half covered by a large semi-spherical block and they decided to name it Avenc de la Bola (coincidentally, many years later and very nearby, one of the AENA buildings was built where the visible and large radar 'ball' is installed).

Around the mid-1970s, Lluís Muntan rediscovered the pit and named it Avenc del Fenàs.

In 1993, members of the Espeleo Club de Gràcia found it again and began the clearing work (we imagine that it was they who moved the 'ball' block from the entrance, to facilitate the work). They dedicated many working days that made it possible to reach the current level or perhaps a little less, abandoning the work afterwards. They decided to name it Avenc del Cabàs.

In 2012 the Grup d'Espeleologia de Badalona carried out new clearing work, going a little more than a metre deeper.
