Località

On the TV-7041 road towards Capafonts from Prades, at kilometre 23.55 on the left side of the road a track sets off, and after 150 metres we find a house on the left. We must follow the track for 580 metres from the road, where we find a wider place to park and turn around. From this point we continue on foot along the track for about 40 metres and turn off to the right at the point where a small rock wall ends; the cavity is 30 metres from the track.

Descrizione

Morfologia

The entrance of 0.55x0.45 metres opens in marly limestone by means of a 3.6-metre shaft. At the base we find a SE-NW gallery in the shape of a half moon about 9 metres long.

Concrezioni

The gallery presents a great profusion of flowstone and stalagmites.

Progressione

The 3.6-metre shaft can be descended with the help of a safety rope.

Storia

A cavity that does not appear cited in any catalogue, very probably known at a local level since it is very close to cultivated fields. The first news we have of the cavity is from the exploration carried out in 2015 doing biospeleological research by Ramon Sendra and Joan Pallisé, who informed us of the existence of the cavity.
