Località

By the road from Sant Pere de Ribes to Olivella (BV-2111), when you reach the main entrance of the Mas Milà urbanisation, on the right a track starts that passes beside the football pitch and ends at a pool. From here you must climb back up along the ridge that rises by a half-lost path to the Turó de la Bóta and, halfway up, a little to the left, the pit is found. From its mouth, the line of sight to Mas Milà is 287º.

Descrizione

Morfologia

Almost cylindrical pit about 2 metres in diameter and a depth of 6 metres. The floor is occupied by clastic materials.

Storia

The pit was pointed out to us by a person from the Mas Milà restaurant. At the bottom we observed signs of having undergone some attempt at clearing, but we do not know who and when the first exploration was made, nor the name that might have been given to it.

Recently, on the website of the SES del GER de Sant Pere de Ribes this cavity appears renamed with the name avenc de Mas Milà.
