Storia

Known to the inhabitants of the village, it has served as a refuge and hiding place on several occasions. Explored in August 1966 by the ERE of the CEC June with the GSC (Groupe Spéléologique de la Corrèze) of Brive (France), during the campaign “Alt Urgell 66”.

Cavity cited by the first explorers as “Avenc de Can Masover” based on information provided by the inhabitants of Gósol. In later catalogue publications this name has varied until it ended up being cited as “Avenc de Cal Masover”. We do not know the reason for this change.
