Località

Located at the roundabout on the N-340 road at kilometre 1222.5, we will leave it in the direction of La Muntanya Rodona; after travelling 620 metres we will turn left and then immediately turn right; after travelling 1.5 kilometres with some steep uphill sections but with the path cemented, we will reach the junction with the track that comes from the coll de l'Ordal; here we will park, since the avenc d'Esteles is a few metres below the path.

It can also be reached by the track that leaves from the coll d'Ordal and passes through the Plans d'en Ravella until reaching coll d'Esteles.

Descrizione

Morfologia

The cavity has two entrance mouths; the larger one opens into a 17-metre shaft; halfway down the shaft, it joins with a parallel chimney. The base places us in a kind of chamber with a steep slope. At the bottom, a portico in the wall places us in a chamber with a lower ceiling but wider than the previous one; the floor continues as a ramp and completely full of stones until reaching a depth of -31 metres.

Storia

At the proposal of Mr. Marc Mir of Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, en Font i Sagué carried out the first exploration of the pit on 13 July 1899 as a preliminary to the campaign that he carried out that summer in the lands of the Priorat.
