Caratteristiche

Località

Access is via the road that climbs from Pallejà up to Fontpineda. Very soon the road makes two tight hairpin bends and after the second one the car can be left on a flat area on the right. About 50 m further on, on the left of the road, there is a series of paths along which one must advance to soon take an E direction towards the upper part of an old abandoned quarry invaded by vegetation. On a small ledge, a couple of metres below the lip of the quarry, is the pit.

Descrizione

Morfologia

A narrow passage in the form of a joint leads us to a drop of -4 metres; at the base we find a small chamber where the entrance to a shaft of -5 metres with an elongated structure opens. Along the narrow base we can go a few metres until it becomes impenetrable.

Storia

Discovered and cleared by Pedro Valdepeñas during 1990. Currently (2021) at the mouth of the cavity there is a sign that reads Escletxa Blanca.
