Descrizione
Morfologia
The opening leads into a fine chamber. An upper gallery, widened, opens on the side and gives access to the Puits currently being cleared (2020). a few short side passages with no continuation open here and there.
The Aven is cut into the Séquanien in horizontal strata ten to fifty centimetres thick.
Idrologia
There is no water circulation in this cavity, which lies a few hundred metres from the last surveyed galleries of the "Puits de l'Aven", a temporary resurgence whose flow reaches up to 5 cubic metres per second.

Opening on the Pioch des Montres, the Aven shares the same name. It seems, however, that the name "Montre" is a corruption of "Mostre", meaning Monster in Occitan. The hypothesis is based on the fact that the name was probably given at a time when these luxurious timepieces did not roam the garrigues.
Storia
During the clearing operations, we discovered a calcified child's skull, as well as dozens of dogs' heads at the very heart of the rubble. The Aven appears to have been filled in artificially.
