A pit with a 25 m first shaft and a depth of -84 m, located on the north slope of a syncline beside the Sarasa path.
Descrizione
Morfologia
The first shaft has a depth of 25 m and opens among Eocene limestones, quite exfoliated in their upper part; in this first section the chemical erosion is clearly noticeable, leading into an orogenic joint of N-S direction and fairly large dimensions. From this point the rock becomes increasingly hard (marbles). Along one vertex of the joint the highest point of a debris cone is reached, giving the elevation of -68 m. From here one descends along a steep debris ramp that leads into a chamber of 7 by 8 m.
Concrezioni
In the clayey vados, lithogenic phenomena and some dripping are seen.
Idrologia
At the end of the ramp a maximum water level is clearly noticeable at -84 m; this is surely the maximum base level of the syncline.
Progressione
Through a small crawlway among debris one descends the ramp to some clayey vados.
