Description

Morphology

A group of concavities which, seven in number, are established along a marked bedding plane.

Of all these cavities, two are those that offer the most outstanding morphological interest. One is the one that occupies the central place among all of them and the other the one situated furthest west of the group.

The central concavity, of scant depth, has an opening of notable dimensions. The vault is limited by a bedding plane.

The westernmost cavity presents a greater planimetric development. The entrance, elongated following the bedding plane, gives way to a broad vestibule, in which numerous rock columns are found, the product of the partial disappearance of different pre-existing reticulate conduits.

Speleothems

At the bottom of the central concavity there is a stalagmitic flow.

In the vestibule of the westernmost cavity numerous rock columns are found, the product of the partial disappearance of different pre-existing reticulate conduits.

Hydrology

At the bottom of the central concavity there is a small spring.

History

Known since time immemorial. Mentioned in all the old speleological catalogues and in all the guides and monographs on the mountain of Sant Llorenç del Munt.
