Come la JH 5 (VT/TN 553) si apre in corrispondenza di un giunto di stratificazione, alla base di alcune roccette soprastanti il valloncello del Bus del Stofel (VT/TN 36) e delle caverne JH 2 (VT/TN 550) e JH 3 (VT/TN 551).

In origine, come JH 5, piccola sorgente d'interstrato, attualmente si presenta come breve e basso cunicolo, accidentato ed in parte ostruito da blocchi e terriccio.
