Description

Morphology

Development of about 4000 m, of which 2200 m are sumps.

To the left of the entrance porch, a narrow joint opens after 10 m onto a step and a chamber. One climbs a two-storey gallery up to a cascade 4 m high. At the top of this, one is at the confluence of 2 galleries. The left-hand gallery, which is wider, quickly joins the right-hand branch which, in a joint and cut by cascades, makes a wide detour. A fossil passage overlooks the active gallery. Upstream, the 2 conduits meet in a low chamber with a broken floor. One can climb this chamber for about fifty metres.

Hydrology

A heavily eroded cavity traversed by an important and picturesque stream with some beautiful cascades. Upstream, a zone comprising 11 sumps and 3000 m long follows the dry part. One must pass a fairly deep pool to reach the active gallery and the joint that follows. Then a long sheet of water leads to the first sump.

Progression

The use of a neoprene suit and a rope may be useful if the stream's flow is high and/or if one wishes to cover the last 100 metres in deep water before the sump.
