Upper entrance of the grotte du Bois Giraud: a depression protected by branches leads through a 25-metre shaft to a fairly vast chamber.
Description
Morphology
The upper entrance of the grotte du Bois Giraud appears as a depression in the ground, protected by branches. The shaft head is at the level of a constriction; the 25-metre descent ends in a fairly vast chamber.
Progression
The rigging includes anchor points on a tree, then several 8 mm bolts. After the shaft head at the level of a constriction, the 25-metre descent reaches a fairly vast chamber. A rope is present at the foot of the shaft to climb back up to the upper level of a gallery. To make a through trip, the lower exit (10 or 15 metres of shaft) must be rigged beforehand.
