Characteristics

Location

From the N-260 road, between Pobla de Segur and Gerri de la Sal, after passing the last tunnel after Collegats, we will find kilometre point 295 and immediately afterwards a turn-off to the right towards Baén; we will cross the Noguera Pallaresa river and take the track on the right; after about 500 metres we will find a junction where we will continue to the right; 75 metres further on we will find another junction and we must continue straight along the track, which makes a series of bends until reaching the font de Comacalent; once past this, at 175 metres we find a new junction where we must continue to the left; 100 metres further on we find another junction and we must continue straight. From here the track climbs through the bosc de Pentina; soon we find a left-hand bend and the track changes direction; at the end of this stretch a right-hand bend changes the direction again; at this point we find two successive turn-offs to the left which we will ignore in order to continue along the main track; at the end of this stretch a pronounced left-hand curve makes us change direction again; we are at the Salt de la Nuvia; we follow the track until the next right-hand bend which makes us change direction again towards the W; at the end, a new left-hand bend with the corresponding change of direction; we will follow the main track for a long stretch until a new junction where we will continue to the right; after 450 metres the track turns left, a little further on it turns right and a little further on it turns left again; after covering 160 metres we find a new junction and we will continue to the left; this is the camí de Solduga, which we will follow until reaching Solduga, currently abandoned. From here we will have to descend through the old cultivation terraces to go and look for the feixancs de la Querata; the Forat de la Querata is found between the terraces and the cliff that overlooks the barranc de l'Infern. Description

Morphology

The entrance is structured in a diaclase 45 metres long by 5 metres wide; this forms a depression but only allows access to the cavity at its ends. Through the north-east end we access a pit 33 metres deep, while through the south-west end a ramp places us in front of a vertical drop of -20 metres; both verticals place us on the same sloping base, ending in a short perpendicular diaclase.
