Small foradada beside the Drecera de Fra Garí, in Collbató, Montserrat.

Characteristics

Location

We will set off from carrer Drecera de Collbató, heading North along a forest track that shortly passes beside the water tanks and continues towards the Drecera de Fra Garí, initially through an area of cultivated terraces and then climbing along the ridge bounded between two ravines. Approximately 570 m later and after a drop of 225 m we will reach the cavity, located on the left of the same Drecera de Fra Garí, shortly before the junction with the Camí de les Bateries.

Description

Morphology

Cavity with two possible entrances that crosses a small cliff from East to West. The East entrance is small in size and is 1.5 m above the ground. The West entrance hangs over the cliff, but a small ledge allows access to it from a small neighbouring cavity 3.5 m long and with characteristics very similar to the one described.

Progression

The East entrance is small in size and is 1.5 m above the ground, after which there is a descending laminador that soon connects with the West entrance, which is more comfortable in size than the former.

History

This small foradada had remained unpublished in the catalogues of the mountain of Montserrat.
