Alla grotta si arriva passando per la località Belvedere e risalendo in mezzo al bosco per ripido sentiero. La valle cieca dove si trova il Covolo è particolarmente incassata e non vede mai il sole.

Description

Gli speleologi dell'USV, autori dell'esplorazione nei primi anni 2000, suppongono che il Covolo possa essere un ingresso basso della Spluga della Preta. Sono in corso esplorazioni delle quali ancora non è stato reso noto l'esito.
