Characteristics

Location

From the C-31 road, before reaching the port d'Aiguadolç there is a roundabout through which one enters the Montgavina urbanisation. At its highest point, at the end of the carrer de la Creueta, the cave mouth can already be glimpsed. One must follow the bed of the barranc d'en Po Robert as far as the second scree slope (hydrographic right), which must be climbed for some 40 metres, and some 10 metres to the right of la Cova (the Cova Seca), in a rocky area and at the base of a small crag, the cavity is found.

Description

Morphology

A sheltered mouth 2.5 by 2.5 metres allows access to a lower and narrower gallery that ends in a small step that allows one to climb up to a small chamber 2.5 metres high, which is followed by a gallery with a low ceiling that ends by becoming impenetrable.

Speleothems

Abundant, rather decalcified speleothems.

History

Located by members of the GE Talaia (Vilanova i la Geltrú) in 1972 after taking the wrong path after leaving the avenc del Vallaric (Vallaric pit). At the end of May of the same year they explored and surveyed it together with the other caves near the same barranc.
