Characteristics

Location

Coming from Vimbodí along the TV-7004 road, we will pass through Vallclara and leave the car in the car park at the exit of the village. We will take the carrer de les Piques and then the raval de Vilanova de Prades, which we will follow until it begins to descend towards the riu de Milans, which it crosses by a bridge. The cavity is on our right, before the descent.

Description

Morphology

Rock shelter 53 metres wide. We can divide the cavity into two parts: the S half has a maximum height of 8 metres and a depth of 11 metres. The N half, smaller and also less visible, has a maximum depth of 8 metres. A large block and a dry stone wall located on our right stand out.

History

Known since time immemorial. A cavity of which we only knew the data from the Inventari Arqueològic de Catalunya, which gives erroneous coordinates. Visited and catalogued in 2013 by members of the EC de Gràcia and GE Badalona.
