Characteristics

Location

Along the BV-2111 road, shortly before reaching Olivella, on the left side of the road, is the entrance of the track that leads to Can Muntaner. The track leaves the farmhouse on the left and continuing forward, a little less than 300 m, on the left side of the track there is a wooden signpost indicating the path to follow, descending to the Begues stream and once in the riverbed the mouth of the cave is already visible a few metres away on the other bank.

Description

Morphology

Large entrance mouth (8.75 metres high by 19 metres wide) that begins as an ascending ramp a gallery 19 metres long that remains completely closed. On the right side of the same entrance there is a small gallery of just over 2 metres, narrow and obstructed by blocks.

History

Known since ancient times. The only data known are those published by members of the Museu Víctor Balaguer (Vilanova i la Geltrú) who explored it in May 1980.
