Characteristics

Location

The balma de Casancots is located on the riera de Clarà, in Avià, in the Berguedà. It is reached via the C-26 road from Berga to Avià; just past Avià, between kilometre point 141 and 140, there is a turn-off to the left that leads to the molí de la Riereta. From here one continues along the track that follows the side of the riera de Clarà, leaving all the turn-offs and continuing along the main track that leads to the molí de Casancots; about 50 metres before the mill, the stream plunges down a 10-metre waterfall, and just below the waterfall is the balma de Casancots.
