Large rock shelter beneath the Montserrat cable car, 47 metres wide and 5 metres high at the centre, with a fairly flat floor.

Characteristics

Location

At km 11.47 of the C-55 road we find the junction with the B-112 road (which leads to Collbató) and with the road that leads to the lower station of the Montserrat cable car, where we can leave the car. We will head towards the start of the Collbató road and follow a path that leaves on our right and climbs until we are beneath the cable car. We will continue west and in a little more than 100 metres we will reach the rock shelter.

Description

Morphology

It is a rock shelter 47 metres wide and 5 metres high in the central part, with a fairly flat floor.

History

Known since time immemorial. It is unknown whether it has a specific name, which is why the cataloguers have named it after the torrent where it is located.
