Location

We will set out from the village of Sant Joan Samora, a settlement of the municipality of Sant Llorenç d'Hortons. We will take the paved track that leads to can Rimundet, an old cellar dating from 1512, pass alongside a Roman quarry and just below and very close by, we will find the rock shelter and the salt de Can Rimundet.

Description

Morphology

The rock shelter is located below the waterfall of the riera de Rierussa. It has dimensions of 47 m in length by 9 m in depth and 7 m in height.

The rock shelter is located below the waterfall of the riera de Rierussa.

Other details

The walls and ceiling of the rock shelter are completely covered in moss and ferns, and the southern sector is overrun by reeds.

History

Can Rimundet is an old cellar dating from 1512.
